1. EDITORIAL TALK
===============================
I'm pleased to report that "The
Hidden Meaning of
Handwriting", "Creating
the Portrait" and the other handwriting books are proving
to be a great success. The course seems to
be very popular because of the workable
methods.
All this seems to highlight
the growing popularity of handwriting analysis and the rapid rate at
which interest in it seems to be growing. Possibly it has something
to do with the rapid growth of the
internet.
I do know that when I first
launched Graphic Insight on the internet in 1996, I had to scour the
internet for a single reference to handwriting analysis.
Graphologists on the internet were as rare as hens' teeth.
Today there are literally
thousands of handwriting websites. More and more people seem to be
searching for better ways to understand one another. I can't think
of a better or more intuitive method than handwriting analysis.
Enjoy this issue!
With best wishes

THE UNIQUENESS OF PERSONALITY
===============================
I often wonder how many people appreciate the real value of being
able to analyze handwriting. A proper understanding of handwriting
should be prized as a most valuable skill.
For one thing, it allows us
to appreciate the uniqueness of personality. It enables us to zoom
in and focus on the unique blend of personal qualities that make an
individual distinctive or different from the crowd.
That unique quality is what
makes each of us so special. But how many of us are aware of even
the most basic aspects of our personalities? Mostly we are
completely out of touch with our central or core qualities.
If we can discover the focal
point of an individual's
personality, his actions and behaviour become more
understandable. The pattern of his behaviour becomes more logical -
even predictable.
The graphologist is always
looking for that special uniqueness that makes an individual
different from everyone else. This is what we mean when we say a
graphologist tries to find out what makes people tick.

FAT HANDWRITING
===============================
What on earth is "fat"
handwriting?
It's a term that I have
coined to describe very rounded middle zone writing. All the
emphasis seems to reside in the middle zone while upper and lower
zones are either truncated or very neglected.
A's, o's and e's are wide
and round with a big eyed look!. Even m's and n's have a wide,
expansive look.
So what does a fat
handwriting mean?
Very often self-satisfaction
combined with a certain naive accepting quality. The writer - often
a teenage girl - is very much concerned with her own day to day
affairs, her emotions and appearance.
Together with a certain
combination of signs, it can show some decorative propensity -
seldom a real deep artistic quality but rather a superficial
awareness of appearances.
Fat writing writing is often
seen together with circular I-dots which reinforces these
observations. (Of course, fat handwriting in an adult has a somewhat
different meaning.)
Bear in mind that there are
few handwritings that do not have some "mitigating" factors. So
while a handwriting may appear to fall into this category, something
like a backward slant can drastically alter the original impression.
Different combinations
will produce different results.

GRAPHOLOGY AS ENTERTAINMENT
===============================
I have had a number of strange communications and requests
concerning graphology of late.
One of my pet aversions goes
something like this:
"Can you please direct me to
a good handwriting analyst in my area who can attend our conference
and analyze the handwriting of about 100 delegates. We think it
would provide them with some unusual entertainment."
Firstly, I don't know of any
"good" analyst who in the space of an hour or so could "analyze" 100
conference delegates.
Obviously the idea of the
graphologist as a party entertainer is still very prevalent. But in
any case, what good analyst would publicly divulge personal
information as entertainment?
All this only helps to
reinforce the general misconception among the public at large that
graphology is not a serious study.
Personally, I feel that
graphologists should try to avoid public displays of graphology as
entertainment. I think that in the long run it can only devalue the
perception that people have of graphology. And this is a pity
because there is so much real value that graphology can give when it
is handled with the
respect it deserves.

SOLVING PROBLEMS? - Try this quick personality test!
===============================
How do you go about solving problems?
Do you have a special
approach to problem solving that works for you?
The way we attempt to solve
our problems says a lot about our personalities. And the interesting
part of course, is that this can be detected in handwriting.
Check out some of the
methods that people tend to use and see if you fall into one or more
of these categories. It may give you some food for thought.
You can test your
problem-solving attitude particularly with regard to relationships
